“We got involved in the Eco Schools programme to give us a structured approach to
work towards, to help us to become a ‘greener’ school and educate the pupils about the
environment and the part that they can play in looking after it. The benefits have included
an improvement in the pupils’ knowledge about the environment, their enthusiasm to
‘make a difference’ and skills they have learned through eco-related topics and activities
[linked to the ‘Four purposes’].”
