The garden has not only transformed our school ground but has
brought our school community together. It has helped to develop
our children’s understanding of and appreciation of nature and the
outdoors. It has provided hands on, authentic learning opportunities.

Caedraw Primary School was transformed with the installation of a Food
Development Package, available for free and supported by experts through
Keep Wales Tidy’s Local Places for Nature programme.

No space in your school for a garden?
Even if your school doesn’t have How about having a go at growing
a big outdoor area, learners can your own food! Send a photo or tag
experience the excitement of us on @EcoSchoolsWales to let us
growing and eating their own food, know what you have planted. Make
however tiny the space. sure you update us later in the term
Potatoes grown in a bag, lettuce on about how your crops are coming
a windowsill or herbs in a container along!
