Congratulations LPL Team Members and Families

Park; The ring pulls weigh in at over 31 Kgs; Cape Palmerstone post the
         team’s efforts on Facebook.

Thanks to the dedication - and thirst - of LPL team members and their families, C2104 crew members Richard Mayne and
Nathan Giles proudly donated over 30 kilograms (65 pounds) of aluminum can ‘ring pulls’ to Cape Palmerstone Caravan Park
located in Northern Queensland!. These 20,000+ ring pulls will go towards making wheelchairs for disabled and under-
privileged children across Australia, made possible by Aussie Kidz Charity that aims to assist disabled and under-privileged
children to live better lives through providing equipment and services they could otherwise not afford to buy.

According to Richard Mayne, it takes quite some time to amass this number of ring pulls and Richard states it’s been a goal of
his and his team mates since around 2014 to donate enough ring pulls for at least one wheelchair. It was in that same year a
former workmate became wheelchair-bound following a vehicle rollover accident and the team have been dedicated to this
         cause ever since.

Richard and Nathan dropped off the huge haul of ring pulls to Cape Palmerstone Caravan Park where the park manager will
arrange for the ring pulls to be melted down and the proceeds of the aluminum sale to be donated to Aussie Kidz Charity.
Amazingly, the team were told their 30+ kilograms of ring pulls will cover the cost of two wheelchairs! A big shout out goes
to Tony Knoll and family who donated a substantial portion of this amount. Well done and go team LPL!

While the team realize it may take a long time to build their collection back up again, they hope their efforts will go a little
way to making life easier for someone who needs the assistance of a wheelchair but simply doesn’t have the means to buy
one. As word spreads of the effort of the team there’s been more keen team members coming forward offering to collect
their ring pulls. And so the goal resets and collection begins again…
