SPOTLIGHT OF THE MONTH
Tyron Villemaire Continued
What is the biggest challenge you face on the road and how does it affect your life? How do you
deal with it?
The biggest challenge on the road is being away from my kids and family. I’d love to show my kids what I do and
how this job is important to the community all around us and to see the different parts of the world. The best
way for me to deal with is a call or FaceTime every chance I get.
What is the best advice anyone has given you, and who was it from?
The best advice I was given is to keep pushing yourself and not to give up when a job gets too difficult. It helped
me a lot to have one of the best trainers I can ask for. Thank you to Evan Chartrand (Machine Operator-3
SPS6003) for showing me what I can be capable of.
What advice would you give a new employee at Loram?
What I would have to say is don’t be scared to ask questions or
ask for help when you don’t feel comfortable with a job. We are
all a family and in this together.
How do you pass time when you get a day off?
I enjoy going out to sports events and just have a relaxing day to
myself. Also going on adventures, looking what the scenery has to
offer but one of my big things is to make sure my equipment is in
working shape and do housekeeping.
What has been your favorite city you have been to
while working at Loram and why?
My favorite city would have to be Kamloops, British Columbia as
there is so much to offer and see and the hockey games are a lot
of fun.
