SPOTLIGHT OF THE MONTH
Tyron Villemarie, Operator, SPS 6004
Tell me a little more about how you started with Loram,
how did you hear about the job, which positions you’ve held?
I was working with the Red Cross doing Covid testing when I came
across an add. I was tired of what I was doing and it was only tempo-
rarily so I figure I would give this a shot. That was one of my best deci-
sions I have made. I applied to be a grinder but was lucky to be trans-
ferred to the SPS/SLOTS.
What do you enjoy most about working at Loram?
I would have to say the travelling and meeting different types of people.
Working on the railway has shown me a lot of what nature has to offer
and as well I get to work with heavy machinery, AKA ‘big toys’.
What is your favorite memory from this past year?
My favorite memory is working with several wonderful people who have shown me a lot and helped to train me to
become who I am. The best would have to be the day I was signed off to be able to work independently and let my-
self really shine.
Where is your hometown and what is the best thing about it?
I am from a small quiet town called Cottam located just outside of Windsor, Ontario Canada.
Do you have any hobbies?
My hobbies I would have to say are hockey, mountain biking and just hanging out with friends and family.
What is something about yourself that would surprise your coworkers?
I think what my co-workers would say is I don’t stop till a job is done. I’m always pushing myself to be better then the
last day and I always try to go the extra mile to make things happen.
