When Bad Turns to Good
On our way home; we stopped by my caring
neighbour who had a lemon tree laden with
lemons in her garden. We knocked at the front of
her white, prettily flower painted wooden door and
told her our plan.
“You can pick as many as you like; they are just
there wasting,” she laughed.
“Thank you madam!” we exclaimed as we headed
towards the tree.
Lemon trees are not very tall but they are full of
thorns so my neighbour’s husband shook the tree
for us with a long stick with a hook on the top.
Dozens and dozens of lemons fell from the tree!
More than enough for our sale!
The next morning, at about five o’ clock, we
dragged ourselves out of bed. At half past five we
started gathering the supplies we needed to
prepare the lemonade. We squeezed the juice out
of the lemons and then we designed our banner.
