Sustainability is a holistic approach that considers
ecological, social (including culture) and economic

pillars/dimensions, recognizing that all must be

considered together to maintain a healthy planet and
an acceptable quality of life. Sometimes the pillars are

referred to environment, society and economy or

planet, people, and profit-all of which are inter-relatedness

and mutually dependent.
