               Hydroelectric energy

               General Overview

Hydropower is a traditional and important
               source of alternative energy. Hydropower,
also referred to as waterpower, is the
electrical energy generated from falling or
running water. The water flowing into a
hydraulic turbine is channelled to and drive a
hydraulic turbine which drives a generator to

               produce electricity. Some Caribbean
countries that are using hydroelectric energy
or hydropower as part of their energy mix are. Source: https://www.wikiwand.com/
