Importance and benefits of energy efficiency
Energy efficiency is important because it reduces
our energy consumption and provides monetary savings
as well as reduces our carbon footprint. Some
benefits of energy efficiency to the residential,
commercial, and industrial sectors are presented below:
Residential Sector
In the residential sector, the application of energy efficiency measures by households promotes
many benefits such that it:
• Reduces energy consumption.
• Reduces the household utility bills.
• Helps household saves money.
