E-LEARNING MODULES AND LEARNING GUIDE FOR TEACHERS
The E-Learning Modules and Learning Guide aims to:
1. provide a standardized plan for teachers in the delivery of sustainable energy content as
a form of ‘greening’ across the educational syllabuses and curriculum of the Caribbean
region;
2. provide teachers with a reference document (including digital materials) that will be
particularly useful after training;
3. create and enhance teachers’ knowledge of sustainable energy; and,
4. provide guidance to teachers on pedagogical and methodological approaches related to
the delivery of sustainable energy content.
NOTE TO TEACHERS
The E-Learning Modules and Learning Guide is designed to build the capacity of teachers and to
assist with the delivery of sustainable energy content in CXC® courses including CAPE® Green
Engineering, Tourism Studies, Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Building and
Mechanical Engineering Drawing, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, and CSEC®
Integrated Science, Social Studies, Technical Drawing, Home Economics, and Industrial
Technology. The content and activities provided will aid the teachers understanding of
sustainable energy. While the E-Learning Modules and Learning Guide does attempt to tell the
teacher what to do in the delivery of their lessons associated to sustainable energy, it provides
suggested teaching and learning activities for the related specific objectives. Teachers are
encouraged to develop a portfolio of the documents and activities used during this course of
study for future reference.
