WELCOME AND OPENING REMARKS

2. The Chairman welcomed all participants to the meeting and requested that the
Registrar report on the circumstances relating to the unavailability of data for the grading
process.

3. The Registrar reported that some subjects were not yet graded because moderated
scores were not available. As a result, the Technical Advisory Committee was unable to
review the data for those subjects and the graphical presentations were incomplete. He
explained that marking was not yet completed and the situation was partially due to the lack
of proper planning.

4. FAC agreed to postpone Items 4 (vi) and (vii) on the agenda until the following day
since the reports were unavailable.

5. The Registrar assured FAC that the results would be issued on schedule.

6. FAC received apologies for absence from: Mrs Lorna Brandy – Principal, St Kitts &
Nevis; Mr Harrilal Seecharan – Chief Education Officer, Ministry of Education, Trinidad and
Tobago; and Sir Kenneth Hall, Co-opted Past Chair.

7. The Chairman expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Chair for chairing the 68
th
meeting of FAC in his absence.
