An energy conservation measure is a single initiative
undertaken to reduce the energy consumption of a particular
piece of equipment or a certain aspect of essential building
services. Energy conservation measures imply a combination
of several energy saving initiatives to reduce energy

consumption across an entire facility or building.
Some energy Conservation measures that can be applied in your homes, buildings, and
transport are presented below:
i. Buildings
• Use LED bulbs instead of incandescent bulbs.
• Use focus lighting.
• Turn off lights when not in use.
• Use motion sensors.
• Use smart faucets.
• Use energy-efficient/inverter air conditioners.
• Change out old inefficient refrigerators with inverter technology refrigerators.
• Use natural lighting and ventilation as much as possible.
