Quarantine Finds
In our haste to announce our new found treasure,
we did not see the two crabs walking nimbly up the
bank.
I guessed it smelled our frenzy and excitement.
The unfamiliarity of the situation had my brother
and I shouting with glee, after all, we found more
than what we were looking for: crawfishes and now
crabs.
The crabs were moving rapidly, but they were no
match for us. My little brother scrambled up the
bank and stood in the way of the crab. Making my
way up breathlessly, I stood at the back. It was
then that I learned that crabs do not like to be
cornered. I guess all creatures are super smart
because, once the crab figured out our intentions,
it started moving sideways. We mimicked the
crabs movements with delight. What was pleasure
for us must have been very upsetting for the
cornered crab.
