You’d be surprised
at the many ways
you can add more
steps to your
day. For example,
a quick walk on
your break can
add 1,000 steps.
Parking farther
away when going
to the store adds
only a few minutes and is an easy 500 steps!
Even if you are not a “gym rat”, walking is a simple form of exercise which can be done any me, anywhere, and best of all, it’s free! Most modern phones have built-in pedometer apps that can track your steps. Another op on is an inexpensive tness tracker on your wrist that will give you encouragement throughout the day.
Regardless of whether you have an app or not, get moving! Take the long way from your car to the o ce. Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. Take a stroll before or a er dinner, walk during part of your lunch period. You will be surprised to see how quickly your steps will accumulate and before you know it, you will have hit that 10,000 daily step goal.
Forkli Operators : Stop and honk at all Stop signs that are put at designated sec ons throughout the warehouse.
Warehouse Sta : Look both ways before crossing aisles and do not use earphones when walking in the warehouse.
O ce Sta : Take some me to stretch throughout the day. Stretching minimizes the risk of straining your back.
