An Angel for Me
Divyansi Patra, Class 4

Looked into my small, round face,
When no one was there at all
She said, “So here we meet after waiting
for days.”

“Why is she looking so fondly at me!”
Her face seemed a little godly-
She must be some angel of this new
country.
Slowly and slowly the days passed.
That angel loved me and took good care. “Mother” by Rajasi Laha, Class 5
Now even if ten years have passed

The angel at times scolds for this and that; Quarrel
I think that’s needed to grow up better.
Any difficulty she is there no matter what Shrijita Singha, Class 3
So, God and the world have named her
Mother. I quarrelled with my brother in the morning,
Quarrelled Quarrelled Quarrelled.
I quarrelled with my brother in the evening,
Knowing nothing without topic!
Quarrelled Quarrelled Quarrelled.
At night my brother came to me,
And said, “Ok, let it go.
Will you take a bite of chocolate?”
That time I jumped up with a smile,
Forgot quarrelling and took a bite.
