I first entered the grounds of DPS Newtown when I was
eleven years old, and it is at eighteen that I officially bid
adieu to what represents a very huge chunk of me and
my life-my friends, my teachers and all the beautiful
moments that I have been gifted with.
As the last days of my Class XII, second term slid
by, under all the pressure, expectations and
insecurities, somewhere in my mind, I was very
aware that this is it, this is the end. Soon, there
wouldn’t be any more cool teachers achieving our
trust with a single shared smile or a knowing glance
and there would be no complaining regarding
syllabi. There would be no more groaning or subtle
dissatisfaction after being assigned some chart, or
that rare jolt of passion that later made an
appearance to make that chart the very best anyone
would ever see in their lives.
