The lockdown and the subsequent
days of activity and stagnation only
tempered the nostalgia and yearning.
If only I could have told my younger
self to stop counting, time flies by
too soon anyway.
All of us have to accept that this
year could have been better.
We all had plans, and we all
watched them burn before our eyes
and turn to ashes. Let's blow the
ashes to the wind. The insurmountable
sum of all these years gone by in these familiar
classrooms and by these windows is securely locked in
my mind and I know what’s ahead might hardly ever be
easy.
However, one must remember that beyond exams,
beyond begging for that one more Games period and
beyond Scholar Badges, lies life and poets and
intellectuals have often reminded us that life is a constant
crusade, with abundant friction.
