MEMORIES
--YASTIKA JHA, ISC 2020
In Class I, I remember staring blankly at my Mathematics
workbook and wondering when this misery called
'Education' would let me live in peace. I sat there counting
down the years to the coveted Class XII when I would
finally get to leave school without having to come back
for another year. Then a passing stranger informed me
that there would be more studies, considerably more
difficult, coming my way after Class XII. I understood, I
was destined to remain trapped in a constant, ever-tiring,
soul-less timetable. Of the variety of things that can be
said about the current year, some disappointing and
others not so gracious, one important fact that still stands
indomitably above the rest, to which all the others may
boil down to, is that this is a year of many firsts.
