an inoreflso of 21 steamers of 39,900 tons under entrance, and a decreaso of 10
stcamors of 22,001 tons under clearance. The increase was all under British
colours, excepting two steamers of 2,070 ton3 which wero under the Russian
Flag. The decrca60 was all British. Tho reason for this is that steamers
having full bottom at Basrah did not call at Busliire.
