tho construction of a new power plant to tho south of tho
Roflnory tho principal addition to tho present power plant
was the installation of a 3,000 TXU turbo-generator sot
complete with an additional 2,300 volt four-panel switchboard
and 2,300 volt reactor.
(ii) Second power Plant
The additional power plant under construction was
nearing cospletlon at the end of the year and two boilers
each having a normal output of 80,000 lbs/hr* at 550 lbs/sq.ln.

A dyepot for dyeing gasoline together with now cthylislag
facilities for motor petrol woro conpleted. Extensive alter
ations were Dado which included the completion of a new twelvo
inoh aviation petrol loading line, extensions to pump houses
and control rocas, additional tankage for 1,35,000 barrels and
tho sotting up of numerous pumps and control instruments to
bring tho terminal into lino with tho Refinery expansion.

In order to ccnservo tho supply of fresh water tho Company
introduced a. salt wator system for tho cooling of Refinery
units. A torplnal was built to house purpa with a nominal
capacity of 75,CC0 g.p.a. two thousand foot out from tho high
water nark and a flume was constructed to bring tho sea water
