After conclusion today of the trial of persons arrested In connexion
with the Sunni Shia riot at Sitra on June 16, crowd of Shia called for
general strike and the closing of the bazaar, then demonstrated at the .
Political Agenoh', demanding the intervention of the Political Agent to quash
the sentences jfetto four convicted Shia, and a guarantee of protection from
Her Majesty'sGovernment about 100 Shia have declared their intention
of remaining at the Agency until they got a guarantee of protection,

but demonstration expected tomorrow.
