you receive from the State fundo insuff
icient for your needs .
My friend I am rather but-
prised to hear this as I hear that the
• State paid off all your debts before you
assumed charge of tlie State , and also
provides a house far you from publio
funds .
But I learn that the reason
for your finding it difficult to make
both ends meet is that in addition to
your legitimate expenditure , whioh in
itself seems to be rather unduly large,
you are in the habit of giving money to
any of the a 1 Khalifa family who oame''
and ask you for it. My JTiend , you
have already, in view of the faot that'
the finances of the State are not very
flourishing and that besides we do not
know accurately what the ordinary reoeipts
and expenditure will be , agreed not to
inorease the aiilowanoos of any of the 'ptJ
