Chiefs of Debai, Abu Thabi
and Umm-ul-Kowein.
The Chief of Abu Thabi Two hundred Beni Yas burnt Khnbnl and killed
with Monasir and Beni 10 Naims. Two hundred mouuted Mauasir and
Hajar, nnd aho the Chief Beni Hajar attacked Dhanj, town of Naira
of Debai. Sheikh. Two hundred Manosir and Mazaria
horsemen made fruitless expedition to Braimi.
versus Constant raids by Beni Yus of Abu Dhabi and
Debai, assisted by Munasir and Beni Hajar, on
Certain Naim tribes. Nairn of Beraimi and environs of Zauj. Beui
Kaiab sought protection of Debai against
Munasir and Beni Hujar. Chief of Debai with
Muhammad bin Saif, cousin of Sheikh Zaid, and
600 camels went and protected Beui Katab till
assurances received from Abu Dhabi. One
huudred Naim caraelmeD attacked Debai from
west, simultaneously with Shargah and JEjman
from east, and did some damage, returning to
Shargah in the evening. Two hundred Abu
Dhabi camel-riders raided Himriyeh, then with
Chief of Debai, carried off many animals from
gardens of Fashtand Shargah. Shargah oaravan
plundered en route to Batina. Peace between
Shargah and Debay,
1877--8 Beni Katab . Constant raids were committed. At last weary of
strife, tbe parties arrauged a general truoe.

1879.80 Two factions of the Naim, Disturbances oocurred between the Naim tribe
Sbargab and Ejman, near Braimi, and tbe Shargah and Ejman
espousing opposite causes. Sheikhs espoused opposite causes and afforded
active support to their respective friends.
Sheikhs of Ejman, Ras-ul-Khima and Umm-
ul-Kowein formed offensive and defensive
alliance, but no actuul hostilities reported.
Sheikh of Ejman himself proceeded to Braimi.
Chief of Shargah then conoluded fresh treaty
with Chief of Abu Tbabi. Tbe faction favoured
by Ejman had apparently the best of the
dispute.
1881-82-88 . Umm-el-Kowein (with Disputes arose out of divorce by Chief of Umm-
Ejman) el-Kowein of his wife, a sister of the Chief
of Ras-ul-Khima. Umm-el-Kowein boats at
versus Kamms with intention of seeking quarrel.
