The Technology Committee Charter is to: 1) le- verage technology to advance and support the Grand Sire Archon’s theme, Vision, Leadership, and Action During Changing Times; and 2) co- llaboratively with the Office of the Grand Boulé review and make recommendations on technolo- gy platforms and applications relating to policies and advancement of information technology to support the Grand Office, regional boulés and member boulés.
We view these objectives to fall mostly within these initiatives:
• Leveraging technology to improve commu- nications and collaboration and to protect and preserve critical/historical information.
•Developing membership, with a particular emphasis on social relevance, demographic trends and the global economy.
• Protecting core values and unique strengths through a balance of maintaining tradition and through continuous improvement and innovation.
• Maintaining and building brand identity throu- gh careful management of organizational culture and image.
•Investing in strong relationships with mem- bers, their families, and their communities.
The Technology Committee shall bring to bear a diverse broad base of business and technology
experience which includes many of the most recognized thought leaders in the technology industry to advance the use of technology and technological processes with a particular focus on all technical matters related to web presence, data security, social networking, and information technology.
Committee Key Initiatives:
Bridge 2 Technologies (B2T) Subcommittee: B2T is building a global echo system, a technology platform, and a partnership framework that will close the digital divide for students, professionals, managers, executives and board members, and business owners. B2T’s social conscious model coupled with its technology platform will change the way corporations engage with diverse com- panies and candidates from around the world.
Technology as the Key To Sustainable Diversity And Inclusion
Sustainable Economic Equality, Education and Connectivity
Corporate Social Responsibility: Partner with companies that have diversity initiatives with a percentage of revenue marked for social impact programs.
Education and Pipeline Development: Establish Centers of Excellence at universities. Expand the pipeline to reach HBCUs (with currently more than 300,000 students and approximately 50,000 graduates per year).
Business Diversity Programs: Partner with cor- porations and investors to develop and mentor start-ups. Establish an apprenticeship program for new and small businesses.
