The BOCB Committee provided Lyceum Exe- cutive Search Firm with a board candidate who was placed on the Pacific Gas & Electric Board of Directors. As a result, the Boulé Foundation received a $1,000 contribution.
On September 14, 2020, the BOCB co-hosted a webinar with our strategic partner E&Y on “In- creasing Blacks On Corporate Boards.” Grand Sire Archon Murray provided introductory comments and panelists included Archousa and Secretary Alexis Herman and Archons Lloyd Dean and Barry Williams. More than 700 people registered for this webinar.
In early September, thanks to assistance from Grand Grapter Khephra Burns and Archousa Susan Taylor, I was introduced to Archousa Ursula Burns and was able to convince her to include the Blacks On Corporate Boards as a partner of her new Board Diversity Action Alliance initiative. Other Partners includes ELC, Teneo and the Ford Foundation.
with Archousa Ursula Burns, former CEO of Xerox and current board member. Archousa Burns is one of the few African Americans to be a CEO of a Fortune 500 firm and will share some insight on the role of the board from a CEO perspective. She will also speak to how her new initiative, Board Diversity Action Alliance, will substantially increase the number of Blacks on Corporate Boards.
Four Archons were added to our committee: Eric Smith, Tim Hardy, Dennis Blunt and Verge Ausberry.
