TIME AND PLACE
Archon Philip M. Smith
The purpose and charge of the 2020–22 Grand Time and Place Committee is to determine the hosting member boulé and the location for the 2024 Grand Boulé. As a consequence of COVID-19, the choice of San Diego as the site for the 2022 Grand Boulé was rescheduled for 2024. This action therefore reduces the charge of the Committee for this biennium.
The goals of our committee, during this biennium, will be to explore restructuring the charge of the Time and Place Committee, to address Grand Boulé issues including, but not limited to, methodology of location choice (e.g., demographics,
affordability, overall cost savings, Black culture, vacation desirability, access, etc.). In conjunction with Archon Al Ragland, Director of Organizational Effectiveness, the work product of the Committee will be shared with the Grand Sire and the Grand Executive Committee for their review and comment.
The initial meeting of the Grand Time and Place Committee was September 23. The next scheduled meeting will be October 28 and quarterly thereafter.
VOTER AWARENESS TASK FORCE
Archon John A. Kuykendall, III

The task force members are Jackie Epps, Karl Gentles, Jemal Gibson, Javier Gutierrez, Darryl Jones, Craig MacKay, Conrad Mallett, Jr., Penfield Tate III, Christopher White, Roderick French, and Christopher Jones. The task force was charged with increasing voter awareness and ensuring that every Archon/ Archousa in their regions had an opportunity to serve in some capacity surrounding this pivotal election. Partnering with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, Archons and Archousai can serve as poll monitors, field coordinators, or on voter
hotlines. All of these efforts are designed to ensure a safe and fair election and protect the polls. The member boulés were also asked to consider a contribution of $1000 to the John Lewis Voter Campaign Fund (VCF).
