Create wave form
In most cases, the waveform display of an audio file will not be required. However, if
you require this, e.g. to navigate while cutting video, a waveform display can be
produced manually via this function.
Adjust loudness of selected objects
This function adjusts the loudness of all selected objects to fit the last activated
object.
You can find more information about this under "Adjust loudness of selected objects"
(view page 182).
Mute/activate audio object
Mutes the audio track of the video object without deleting it or reactivates the
previously muted audio track in a video object.
Remove/restore audio object
This option allows you to remove or restore and audio object to simplify the display.
The audio itself is not affected or deleted.
Video/audio on one track
Video material and the corresponding audio material (original sound) will be
displayed as one object on one track. Using the top object handle you can adjust the
video's opacity. The lower object handle adjusts the object's volume.
Video/Audio on separate tracks
Displays the audio material on a track of its own beneath the corresponding video
material. This makes it easier to make adjustments to the audio material beyond
simply changing the volume. This setting also needs to be turned on in order to
perform J-L cuts.
Tip: You can also display audio material on separate tracks for all videos in your
project. To do this, go to the Video/Audio tab in the Program Settings dialog (File >
Settings > Program Settings ... or press the Y shortcut key) and deactivate the
setting "Video/Audio on one track".
