298 Photo Regions and Masks

1. Select one of the mask tools from the MASK TOOL flyout bar and draw whatever
mask shape you require.
2. Now select an option from the EDIT menu to perform a Cut/Copy/Delete operation.
3. The SELECTOR TOOL is automatically selected and the operation performed.

The rectangular mask tool is used to create a mask (left). Cut or Delete removes the
unmasked area of the Photo (right).

On the left example the mask has been inverted. Now when you Cut or Delete the masked pink
area is protected, everything else is deleted.

Duplicate, Clone

This will copy only the selected part of the drawing or photo. The Clone option places a
copy exactly on top of the original.
