478 Importing and Exporting

also have a copy of each of the text areas on the current page that are linked to the
current text flow and they will be linked together similarly.

                Changing linked text areas together

Often your document will have similar layouts of text areas across multiple pages. If you
make a change to a text area on one page, you may want that same change to be
reflected for all similar areas in the same flow. So if you move or resize a text area and
there are similar areas in the same flow on other pages (that is, they have the same size
and position on the page) Web Designer Premium will ask you if you want to change
                those areas too.
See Text areas (on page 211) for more information.

                RAW photo import

You can import RAW digital camera files, either by using the Import menu option or just
drag & drop the file onto the Web Designer Premium window.

Supported file extensions include: *.crw, *.cr2, *.rw2, *.nef,*.mrw,*raf,*.kdc,*.orf, *.dng,
                *.ptx, *.pef, *.anw, *.x3f
However there are many different extensions used for RAW files by different camera
manufacturers, so if you have a RAW file with a file extension not listed above it’s worth
                trying to import it anyway.

                Importing from a website
You can import text and graphics directly from web pages on the Internet into your
document, or copy and paste text and graphics directly from a web browser onto your
                page.

To import from an online web page:

                1. Choose "FILE" > "IMPORT FROM WEB ADDRESS" (or "Ctrl + Alt + W").
                2. Type in the web address (URL) of the page or graphic you want to import.
                3. Click Import.

If the URL entered is that of a web page, all the text and images on that page will be
imported and positioned on your page in approximately the same positions as they are
on the web page. In other words, this function gives you a way to roughly import an entire
web page in terms of its text and graphics. However note that most modern web pages
are made up of a complex combination of text, graphics, JavaScript and other features,
so such imports are unlikely to give you a complete and accurate representation of the
page in Xara Web Designer Premium.

When importing from web pages, the length of your page in Xara Web Designer
Premium will be automatically extended to accommodate the incoming text and graphics,
if it is not already long enough.
