Examples of
Education/Training/Experience
The knowledge and skills listed above may be acquired through various types
of education, training or experience. Typical ways to acquire the required knowledges and skills are listed below:
EITHER I
Education:
Completion of the requirements for a graduate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related  eld; or completion of requirements for a Master’s degree in social work or two year counseling program;
AND
Experience:
Two years of second level supervisory or managerial experience.
OR II
Experience:
Three years progressively responsible work in program administration, planning and evaluations, preferably with a public agency, including two years of second level supervisory experience.
OR III
Experience:
Two years of experience performing duties comparable to the class of Program Manager with Monterey County.
      PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS The physical and sensory abilities required for this classi cation include:
» Ability to read standard printed text and data on computer terminal display screen; Finger and
» manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard.
Ability to communicate verbally in a clear manner with a volume required to respond to telephone, » face to-face inquiries and present information before groups.
See, hear and speak well enough to function in a typical o ce environment.
REQUIRED CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
» As a condition of employment, the incumbent will be required to possess a valid California class C driver’s license at the time of appointment or the ability to provide suitable transportation that is approved by the appointing authority.
