Story 74: The Hare and the Mare

"I don't easily scare," said the hare, "except

perhaps in a snare!"

The mare replied, "Hare, I wouldn't
ever purposefully scare! It's just that my

sight is impaired, giving the false
impression that I stare."

"Oh, of this I wasn't aware!” commented the

hare. "Do let our friendship repair.”
"Sure thing," said the mare. "And for

showing me you care, I offer you a ride on
my back bare, for which there shan’t be any

fare!"
