Digital Crime Training Program (COO Training)

Based on the framework of the investigative process, it introduces Cyber
Operations Officers (COOs) to the technologies utilized by cyber criminals
through hands-on exercises. This modular training utilizes technologies such
as virtual machines as well as network protocols to create controlled scenarios
which exemplify what investigators may encounter in the field. These
scenarios, combined with the corresponding labs, practical exercises and
evaluation material, allows COO trainees to hone investigation techniques in
all categories of cyber-enabled crime, including: financial crimes and money
laundering, commercial fraud and IPR, Darknet and cryptocurrency,
transnational criminal organizations, export and import of contraband, and
interdiction of illicit opioids, narcotics and other controlled substances.
