OnWednesday, March 26, 2025, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly signed a proclamation declaring April 2025 as Kansas County Government Month. Kansas Association of Counties Governing Board Members and staff attended the official KCGM proclamation signing event at the Kansas State Capitol.Thank you to the 15 Kansas Counties (shown below) who are joining KAC in this year%u2019s April Kansas County Government Month celebration! Their KCGM plans are as follows:%u2022 Butler County%u2022 Cowley County %u2013 Highlighting county staffand the programs and services they providethrough social media posts and publicengagement.%u2022 Douglas County %u2013 Hosting our secondcommunity event in celebration of CountyGovernment Month! This year we are callingour event: Douglas County Discovery Day. Itwill be a fun way for families to learn aboutthe services and programs that our countyprovides.%u2022 Franklin County %u2013 Highlighting our teams andservices on Facebook, accepting nominationsfor Franklin County Spirit Awards (internally)with fun superlative categories, andcelebrating Franklin County Spirit Day laterin the month with apparel and festivities.
