KAC is kicking off the month-long celebration in conjunction with National County Government Month (NCGM), an annual campaign hosted by the National Association of Counties (NACo). Since 1991, the National Association of Counties has encouraged the 3,069 counties across the country to raise public awareness and understanding about the roles and responsibilities of county government.%u201cHere in Geary County, we are proud of the programs and services we provide to our communities and residents,%u201d shared Crystal Malchose, KAC President and Geary County Human Resource Director. %u201cDuring Kansas County Government Month, we are highlighting these opportunities and resources in the hopes of strengthening the connection between our county government and our local communities. The ADRC has been a longstanding resource supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities across Kansas, and this transition ensures continued access to vital information, referrals, and assistance for long-term services and supports (LTSS). This contract award marks a shift in vendor management of ADRC operations, but the program itself remains fully operational. The ADRC will continue to support KDADS' mission to foster an environment that promotes security, dignity, and independence for all Kansans. Liberty will work to enhance the delivery of information and support, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their LTSS options.
