       It is noted that this is a secondary residence.
       BASIC EXCESS APPLICABLE TO THIS DWELLING
       It is noted that the Insured is a bona fide pensioner and resides at this dwelling.  No excess is,
       therefore, applicable to any claim made regarding this dwelling.

       REQUIREMENT AND WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO AN ALARM SYSTEM
       It is required and you warrant that:
       a.     the dwelling will be fitted with an alarm system;
       b.     the generic code of a newly installed alarm system will be or has been changed to a unique and
              individual code at the time that the alarm is/was installed;
       c.     in the event of moving into a dwelling with an existing alarm system, that the existing code has
              been changed to a unique and individual code;
       d.     the alarm system is permanently connected by radio wave to the 24-hour control room of an
              armed response unit;
       e.     the alarm system is:
              i.     maintained and kept in full working order and fully operational at all times; and
              ii.    always set before the dwelling is left unoccupied.


       BASIC REQUIREMENTS TO WHICH THATCHED STRUCTURES OR PARTIALLY THATCHED DWELLINGS MUST COMPLY WITH
       It is required and you warrant that:
       a.     no old thatching or garden refuse is burnt in close proximity to thatched roofing;
       b.     if the premises of the thatched structure or dwelling is adjacent to open veld, that vegetation not
               forming part of your garden is cleared up to 30 meters (m) away from any thatched structure;
       c.     no antennas are installed directly onto thatched roof areas;
       d.     if electrical and telephone cable services are introduced at the thatched roof areas, it will be done
               at the ground level of the structure;
       e.     if metals are used in the construction of the thatched roof and not bonded and earthed, a minimum
               clearance of 1 m exists between the metals in the pipes, antennas, telephone and bell wires,
               burglar alarm and electrical wiring, conduits of such wiring, roof and water pipes, vent pipes,
               tanks and gas piping;
       f.      if thatched roof areas have chimneys protruding through it, then:
                  i.             such chimneys have a full brick thickness of at least 220 mm and all mortar joints are completely filled;
                  ii.             the top of the chimney stack extends to at least a 1 m radius from the highest point of
                     the stack closest to the thatch covering as well as the roof covering itself;
                  iii.            such chimneys are fitted with spark arrestors not less than 700 mm from the top of the chimney stack.
              (Spark arrestors must be manufactured of stainless steel of at least 1 mm thick and must be built
              into the chimney stack or supported on mild steel dowels in a manner that it will cover the full
              expanse of the chimney flue);
       g.     the dwelling and/or the thatched structure will be fitted with fire extinguishers complying with the following requirements:
                  i.              All cooking areas are fitted with a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket;
                  ii.             Every storey of the dwelling (including the ground floor) is fitted with an easily accessible fire extinguisher;
                  iii.            All fire extinguishers are serviced by a recognised service provider every 12 months.


       INCLUSION OF EARTHQUAKE CAUSED BY MINING ACTIVITIES AS INSURED PERIL
       General exception 9.15 on page 14 of the policy wording is hereby deleted in as far as it applies to this section.  As a result of
       this deletion, an earthquake that results directly or indirectly from mining activities will no longer be a general exception.  Cover remains
       subject to the particular terms and conditions of this section and the policy wording as a whole.


       SPECIFIC EXCLUSION OF LOSS OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY FLOODS
       Any loss of or damage caused by flood to any of the property insured under this section is hereby specifically excluded.
