Wolf
I know where you've been hiding, I Challenge every weakness
I watch you where you sleep I've never gone untested
I stroll among the hunters I can steal away your courage
I hide in mountains high and steep I've never yet been bested
I melt away in silence, I live within the shadows
I stroll when you’re not here I sing my nightly songs
I dream along with dreamers I was here before you settled
I give the nights a scare I'll be here when you're gone
I cross the canyon rims with ease
I lay my track with care
I play among the pinion pine R.L. Brinegar Cowboy Poet (C)
I shun the Prickly pear 2000
I run through raging rivers
I climb the highest peaks
I sit alone in summer rain
I sleep in washed out little creeks
I designed this poem to start every line with “I” . Every wonder what Mr. Wolf would say
if he joined you around the campfire and shared his thoughts with you.
