The renowned Spetchley Park Estate and gardens are part of the Berkley Estates. Rose Willmott married Robert
Valentine Berkley in 1891. Rose was the younger sister of Ellen Willmott.
The gardens were principally created in the 1890’s. Instrumental in their establishment was Ellen Willmott, the
renowned horticulturalist and plant collector who assisted in the design and planting.
The composition is from within the Spring Garden, where during May a stunning show of Rhododendrons and
pink and purple Azaleas can be seen.
