                                             Hi Mr. J,

Also ‘hi’ to anyone else who reads this.
I’ll keep this short as being my usual self,
I have left it to the last minute and I
doubt if I even speak 2,000 words a
week, let alone write them down!

My involvement in the band, both
concert band and stage band, I have
found were probably some of the most important
experiences of my school years. I carry the learned
                        lessons with me continually.

I think the most valuable lesson I learned is that there
are no unimportant parts. Everyone has a vital function,
in music, in society, in life.

At the risk of sounding a bit maudlin, my hat’s off to you
Mr. J. I thank you for being such a
                        positive influence in my life.

                        Karl Trued
                        Class of ‘74

P.S. I still think we should have won
the Bremerton Jazz Festival in ‘74!
