. . . Visionary
Dear Ray,
I received my CD in the mail—THANK YOU
for making this effort to share such
wonderful memories with all the
members of our very special ‘77 FVHS
Stage Band! Lots of great tunes played
with creative musical directorship which
allowed us to excel and grow (and survive
long sets) :-)
Through the years, I’ve continuously
reminded each of my four children that
being part of something bigger than ourselves is a very special
and important thing. Being a member of your bands including
the FVHS Jazz Ensemble group, along with the Concert
Band...that was a BIG thing for me.
Besides the US Military, your bands represent some of the most
special and meaningful earthly ‘belongings’ for me. It’s likely
that me sharing with my now 40-year old son Tim, my love for
music ...sparked his own interest and led him to study and
pursue a public school musical educator career of which he
remains engaged in Waco Texas.
All of this Ray, is because you
‘cared’ and injected your musical
passion into your students,
including ME!
I am truly grateful for your
mentorship & friendship .
Stay well dear Maestro!
