Q: Why are you moving?
A: Our needs have changed since we bought 80 Henderson Road in 2001. We will soon be
‘empty nesters’ and no longer need a lot of house and yard space. Henderson Road has a
long-standing reputation as an incredibly wonderful family friendly street, with an annual
Block Party, monthly bunco nights and other fun activities. We feel this may be a good time
to pass it on to another young(er) family that is looking for a wonderful neighborhood in
close proximity to Fairfield’s premier schools, town center and beaches.
Q: Tell me about the grounds.
A: We’ll certainly miss the private patio setting for intimate al fresco dinner parties in the summer
and fall evenings by the firepit. We will miss the great space in the backyard, which served
as a great spot for wiffleball when our kids were smaller, and later a very private oasis to read
a book or catch up on magazine reading on the chaise lounge. The mulberry tree in the
northwest corner of the property bear delicious fruit in June – not to be missed and great for
making homemade preserves.
Q: What makes your property so special?
A: What really makes 80 Henderson so special is the tiered yard. The middle yard is perfect for
dining and socializing in a relaxed (safe) area; the backyard, set behind the fantastic 3-car
garage, is a great spot to play badminton or wiffleball without accidently hitting grandma with
an errant ball!
