YOU WILL LOVE
About life at 288 Birch Road
1. Living a block and a half from the beach is totally 5. The neighbors are WONDERFUL I miss them very
life-changing. In the summer it’s like you’re living much. They are what make this street so special. We

to pack something no problem it’s a 5 minute walk
back to the house! Or go back for lunch and then 6. Cooking with family and friends in the kitchen and

you’ll get into sailing like I did and keep a boat at
Penfield II or the marina.
2. The 4th of July. BBQ’ing with friends and neighbors
and then walking down to the beach for the fireworks.
You’ll realize what an incredible convenience this is
when after the fireworks you see the lines of cars
trying to get out as you’re already home firing up
the grill again and keeping the celebration going
without pause.
3. Being walking distance from just about everything
made living here an absolute dream. Walk to the
beach, walk to the library, the YMCA, downtown
for dinner or shopping, the train, the history center,
town hall, church, Burr mansion, Sherman School,
etc. You have it ALL!
4. Walking distance from the schools. When they’re
young Sherman School is a short walk, then Jr
High a bit farther when their older, and by the time
they’re in high school they can walk right to Ludlow.
So great to see all the families walking their little
ones to school in the morning, a real heart-warming,
community feel.
