TOP 12 THINGS WE’LL MISS ABOUT LIFE AT
1055 MINE HILL ROAD
1. Living on one of Fairfield’s designated “scenic roads.” We al-
ways loved turning into the tree-lined driveway of our Interior ha-
ven, a special place we have enjoyed for over 35 years — all of
the special features & appointments designed by Cameron Clark
2. The seclusion and serenity of the property with its natural sur-
roundings and wildlife habitat, enjoying the plentiful birds that visit
our feeders and nest in our bird houses. Only the pesky deer have
been excluded by a fenced-in back yard to protect our perennial
gardens and specimen plantings
3. The ever changing vista overlooking the Town of Fairfield &
Long Island Sound, especially spectacular sunrises & sunsets.
4. The walks throughout the neighborhood and to the Greenfield
Hill green, particularly during the Dogwood Festival.
5. The gatherings with family and friends on our patio watching
sailboats traversing Long Island Sound.
6. Passing the day sitting on our elevated deck in the shade of the
awning on a warm summer day.
7. Watching our children and, more recently, our grandchildren
scoot up and down our driveway on their bikes or sleds.
8. The warming southern exposure of our principle living areas, es-
pecially bright sunny mornings in the winter eating breakfast in the
greatroom with its passive solar system of skylights and ceiling fan.
9. The gatherings in the lower level family room watching our fa-
vorite TV shows or a good movie and enjoying a challenging
game of pool with a roaring fire in the fall and winter.
10. Quiet nights in the library with a warm fire & a good book.
11. Decorating the house and barn with Christmas wreaths and
setting up the Christmas tree in the front living room window.
12. Celebrating so many family events in this home, graduations,
surprise birthday parties, weddings and even tributes to those we
have lost.
