TOP 10 THINGS
We will miss about 74 Barnswallow Drive
1. The Great Room- with its 16 ft high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling fieldstone fireplace and
massive oak beams- was where our family came together. The joy of setting up a 16 ft
Christmas tree, adorned with ornaments from our travels made our holidays magical.
2. Summers by the pool were unforgettable. Family and friends gathered for barbecues on
the spacious deck while the soothing sounds of the 10 ft. high cascading waterfall added
to the ambiance. The covered patio was the perfect spot for grandparents to enjoy the
poolside fun.
3. The cathedral ceiling Sunroom is our relaxing retreat and a family favorite featuring an
8-person Kohler hot tub, Pella oversized windows overlooking the pool and decks and four
skylights. Whether it was winter or summer, this room provided a serene space to enjoy
meals while taking in the beauty of the forested surroundings.
4. We loved enhancing our home in 2010 with a comprehensive renovation. The Kitchen,
designed with a millwork company from New York, boasts maple cabinetry, a custom
center island, and top-tier appliances. The addition of a dream closet o the Primary
Bedroom, with built-in maple cabinets and a granite-topped island bureau, is a space I'll
deeply miss.
5. Living in a friendly neighborhood where many neighbors for 40 years has been a blessing.
The neighborhood Gourmet Club we started became a tradition for 36 years. Watching
new families move in and children play brought joy to our hearts.
6. The home's design allows for the enjoyment of two acres of privacy while only paying taxes
on one. The 12-station irrigation system, including drip irrigation for the front flower beds,
made lawn care a breeze.
7. We love that we have underground utilities with no unsightly wires. The perimeter
floodlights, controlled from the Primary Bedroom, provided security, illumination and is a
great safety feature. The panoramic view from the Primary Bathroom's half-round window
oered a private glimpse of the beautiful backyard.
8. The sun garden window in the laundry was perfect for starting garden veggies and flower
seedlings, ensuring a blooming garden each year.
9. The oversized driveway wasn't just for cars; it was a basketball court where competitive
games were played, cheered on by spectators. The Bunny Hill in the yard was perfect for
winter sledding and summer waterslides.
10. One of the simplest yet most enchanting experiences was chasing fireflies around the
property during summer nights. It's a tradition that brought joy and wonder to our family.
