Q: What made you fall in love with this home?

A: We purchased a one acre wooded lot on Barnswallow Dr. for several reasons. It was in a cul-de-sac, had
beautiful full mature oak trees that would eventually become the beams that we used in our family room
and in our primary bedroom. From the start we had imagined designing and building a home that would
provide our young family with ample space to grow and features that would make for a lifetime of won-
derful family memories.

Our family room with its 16 ft high ceiling, floor to ceiling fieldstone fireplace and massive oak beams
was the heart of our home. We enjoyed spending time together year-round in this light and spacious
room especially at Christmas time when the entire family came together to put up our 16 ft Christmas
tree that we decorated with souvenir ornaments from our many family trips together both at home and
abroad. Those memories are magical but so were the summers by our pool with family and friends enjoy-
ing barbecues on our spacious deck overlooking the pool and listening to the relaxing sounds of our10 ft.
high cascading waterfall. The grandparents enjoyed the best seats by the pool under our covered patio,
close enough to enjoy all the pool games and with the lower level family room slider only steps away
they could retire to the couch for a quick nap.

Summer or winter the inviting 8 person Kohler hot tub in our cathedral ceiling sunroom with the it’s
Pella oversized windows, four skylights and access to our upper deck and overlooking the pool was a
favorite of the entire family. No matter what the season we enjoyed eating indoors in our sunroom while
enjoying all the beauty of the private outdoor forest setting. It has truly been our “Home Sweet Home”
for these past 40 years.
