Interview with the Homeowner
Q: What made you fall in love with this home?
A: I was a kid when we moved into the house, maybe 12 years old. I really loved having all the
space and it was great when all my friends from Fairfield came over for my first birthday
party in the house, we had such a great time running around in the. That was my first real
memory of the house.
Q: Please describe the renovation process.
A: It was my late father who managed all of the renovations and we are not sure of exact
timelines but the finished basement was done first, then the deck extension, lastly the
generators and solar panels.
Q: Will you miss the neighbors?
A: Growing up there it was great to have friends in the area, who I’m still in touch with to this
day (I’m 33 and live overseas). I remember biking around the area, to mile common and
up to trout brook trails. As a kid it was a great, safe place to grow up with super friendly
neighbors. In my father’s later years, the neighbors would often stop in to say hi and they
are always with or without dogs and kids. Very friendly and easy to talk with and strike up
a conversation about anything.
