There are federal and state regulations that govern the work of the PA Long Term Ombudsman office and individual
ombudsmen.
State Long Term Care Ombudsman Federal Final Rule
The long-term care ombudsman is governed by federal laws and regulations. In 2016, modifications were made to these laws
