MATHEMATICS WEEK

In an effort to lay a strong foundation of Mathematics among the students, the school

organized Mathematics Week for the students of Primary wing from 19 December to 26 December
2020. It was a fantastic opportunity for children to engage in various mind boosting and

creative activities. Each day was planned with age appropriate activities for students. Students of class I
and II worked on different shapes and patterns to make beautiful sceneries and objects and

attempted an art integrated worksheet. Students of Classes III, IV and V enjoyed solving crossword
puzzles which challenged their reasoning skills. Classes IV and V also enjoyed making symmetrical
designs. They tried their hands at decoding activity too. They were also taken on a virtual

tour of Ramanujan Maths Park which was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for the students.

The children also learnt about Mathematics Day observed to honor the birthday of the
great mathematician, Srinivas Ramanujan and acknowledged the contributions made by him. At the
end of the Math week, a recapitulation worksheet was given, in which students attempted

many challenging and interesting questions.
