DIWALI
“It is time to remove darkness of ignorance within us and replace it with the light of hope
and knowledge instead.”
Diwali, the festival of lights fills everyone's heart with mirth. The students of MJKPS spread the
message of compassion and peace during the festivities. Teachers explained the significance of the
festival as victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil and hope over
despair. With the gleam of diyas, they hoped for a better tomorrow. They prepared Diwali greeting
cards and elucidated about the festival during the special assembly. The joyful learners recited
poems and sang songs. The tiny tots of Kindergarten made resplendent paper lanterns during the
session. They cheerfully dressed up in traditional attire and promised to follow the true spirit of
the festival. Both teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.
