WORLD PAPER BAG DAY
People are increasingly adopting sustainable lifestyle choices in a world
facing changing requirements due to globalisation, climate change, and the scarcity of
raw materials. A Special assembly was conducted by class IV students to celebrate Paper
Bag Day which comes on July 12 every year. The teachers briefed the students, the students
were briefed about the importance of switching to paper bags for our daily chores. Students
shared facts about the history of the day; recited a poem and as future leaders of the society,
they propagated the means & ways for saving Mother Earth from plastic, which takes
thousands of years to decompose.
WORLD POST DAY
World Post Day is celebrated on October 9 each year to bring awareness to the role of post in the
everyday lives of people and businesses, as well as its contribution to global social and economic
development. The emotional gratification of receiving letters via post was depicted by one of the
students dressed up as a postman. Information regarding the highest post office in the world and
moving post office in India was also shared further. They were also informed about the two types of
letter boxes - red and green.
