Guru Nanak Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru. It
was celebrated by primary students with great reverence and fervour. Students of Class I, II and III
were enlightened about Guru Ji’s life through a talk and inspirational stories narrated by their
respective class teachers. A Hindi speaking activity ‘Baba Nanak Ki Kahani Meri Jubani’ was
conducted in class IV wherein students narrated Saakhis and recited the pious shabad. Class V
students paid their tribute by spreading His divine message of harmony, humility and equality
through a Punjabi story telling activity. This activity encouraged them to explore their unique style
of expression and hone their language skills.
